Dharma Casey will teach us several traditional Japanese Shibori dyeing techniques.  Dharma has a Fiber Arts degree from the University of North Texas.  She works at Kufri a fabric import company that works directly with designers.  She also curated an exhibit at the Crow Museum of Asian Art at UT Dallas.

We will  twist, fold, and bind fabric to create patterns.  Multiple pieces of fabric will be provided to experiment with.   We will then dip the fabric into Indigo vats to create beautifull blue patterns.  You will leave with an assortment of fabric pieces (at least a yards worth) to use in future projects.  The materials and dye will be provided but you may bring a garment or fabric if it is not too large.
